Job Description

- Manage the work load and ensure that the team is working efficiently.
- Manage the hours the staff is working to ensure they are not working overtime without approval.
- Coordinate the work of non-cooking kitchen and storeroom workers engaged in activities such as dishwashing, silver cleaning, and storage.
- Inventory control of all food and beverage china, glass, silver and equipment.
- Inspect the kitchens and storerooms to ensure that premises and equipment are clean and in good working order.
- Help guard against theft, breakage, and wastage.
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Wash dishes and pots.
- Set up buffets.
- Ensure all work areas are safe and secure, and report any unsafe conditions to the Chief Steward, Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
- Maintain the highest sanitary conditions.
- Store dishes and pots in appropriate areas.
- Report dishwasher problems to your manager on duty.
- Be aware of proper dishwashing temperatures.
- Understand and follow all department policies and procedures, as well as all Club policies and procedures.

Our luxury country club in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Steward Manager to oversee the activities of all stewards, utility and contract service workers. He/She will monitor and implement proper cleaning and sanitation practices in all the kitchens. He/she also controls the storage and inventory of all china, glass and silver and is involved with the creative enhancement of all food and beverage displays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience working within high-volume kitchen
- Must have ability to maintain product inventory, uphold quality standards
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.
