      The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program.       Position Objectives

      • To provide customers with the best selection, exceptional service and well-organized stores so we can offer spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs to those in need.
      • Accountable for meeting store sales and income budget expectations while managing expenses to maximize profitability.
      • Create a positive and mentoring environment for Beneficiaries (ARC rehabilitation program participants) through collaboration and partnership with program staff.
      • Implement positive and effective Work Therapy Assignments (WTA) and keep Beneficiaries on the right track and focus where they need to improve.

      Qualifications

      • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. (some college preferred)
      • Minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management experience in a retail environment (thrift experience preferred).
      • Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
      • Valid Driver's license, successfully pass a MVR check (required), proof of insurance and access to a motor vehicle.
      • Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

      Physical Requirements

      • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
      • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
      • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

      Essential Duties And Responsibilities

      • The primary responsibility of the Store Manager is to be accountable for meeting the sales and income budget expectations while managing the expense controls to maximize profitability for the assigned location. This will be achieved through delivering desired results on the established key performance indicators prioritized to measure the success of the business.
      • Plans and directs the day‐to‐day operations of assigned store location, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards (CNO Standards), and donations.
      • Hire, train, and direct the store team to ensure proficiency of processes while also responsible for the development and performance coaching of all store employees. Responsible for employee evaluations, key performance results, and corrective actions in coordination with HR.
      • Schedule employees to ensure adequate store coverage and coordinate daily team meetings. Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including daily time and attendance monitoring.
      • Ensure high customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and develop strategies to improve the customer experience.
      • Oversee Back Room Processing (BRP) to meet daily processing goals.
      • Manage store deliveries and inventory to ensure timely availability on the sales floor.
      • Supervise and support Beneficiaries involved in Work Therapy Assignments at the store.
      • Protect store currency, inventory, and property, including safe funds, bank deposits, and security protocols.
      • Ensure safety measures are maintained according to ARC policy and regulations, reporting issues immediately. Conduct weekly store meetings and attend safety meetings.
      • May be transferred or relocated based on business needs and complete all tasks assigned by supervisors.

      About Our Retail Team

      Join our dedicated Retail Team at The Salvation Army! Contribute to serving and impacting our community through the "Do The Most Good" initiative at our Blossom Hill Thrift Store, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This role offers opportunities to enhance customer service, problem-solving, teamwork, and contribute to the success of our programs and participants.

      Schedule: Our stores operate 7 days a week. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for full-time staff.
