      Strategic Initiatives Manager

      Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Are you passionate about putting your skills towards making a positive difference? Do you want to be part of an upbeat team dedicated to one mission, the cure of cancer? We are seeking a Strategic Initiatives Manager to join our Enterprise Growth and Business Development team. In this role, you serve as a thought and project leader in assessing and managing MSK’s strategic plan. This includes working with leaders to identify and execute strategic priorities and assisting in developing qualitative and quantitative assessments in support of key strategic initiatives. Our team cares deeply about solving meaningful problems that impact the strategic direction of MSK.

      Role Overview:

      • Serve as an individual contributor to diverse teams that are tasked with developing and accessing new insights and ideas that will drive forward our strategy.
      • Support execution of the enterprise strategic plan, monitor progress toward strategic goals and enable communication across the organization.
      • Work in partnership with clinical and administrative leaders to facilitate developing and implementing strategic priorities aligned with the enterprise's strategic plan.
      • Support the production and evaluation of program-specific strategies including workshop facilitation, framework development, and identification of implementation steps.
      • Analyze strategic, operational, and market data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
      • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to track key metrics related to enterprise growth.
      • Deliver presentations to key stakeholders on MSK’s internal dynamics, competitive and industry dynamics, and the interplay between these elements.
      • Research and remain current on existing and evolving evidence-based strategic management methodology to ensure continuous improvement in the outcomes of the team.
      • Propose ideas and develop new approaches to improve strategic planning capabilities.
      • Support the development of market position and competitor analyses, and other research as needed.
      • Work across all levels of the business by establishing trusting and collaborative relationships with a wide range of peers, senior executives, and external contacts.

      Key Qualifications:

      • 3+years in a strategic, competitive intelligence/analytic, or research position
      • Demonstrated experience in strategy development, strategic planning, and/or business development.
      • Highly developed leadership facilitation, communication, planning, and presentation skills
      • Analytical competencies to develop strategies, program plans, and provide recommendations.
      • Experience assembling, evaluating, and understanding large amounts of complex information to identify current and future trends.

      • A good decision-maker, with proven success making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

      • Comfortable synthesizing and working with data to generate and communicate insights.
      • Resilient in recovering from setbacks and skilled at finding detours around obstacles.
      • Able to navigate effectively even when things are not clear, or the way forward is not obvious.
      • Comfortable working with executive leaders from a variety of levels and functions within the organization.

      • Location: 633 Third Avenue
      • Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy Activation & Execution, Strategy Innovation Technology Development
      • Hybrid Schedule: Onsite once a week

      Pay Range: $98,500 - $157,600
