      Lab Summary:

      Samsung Research America (SRA) plays a pivotal role in developing the next generation of discovery in software, user experience and services for future products that can enrich the consumer’s life. The R&D Innovation team at SRA is looking for dedicated individuals who want to be at the forefront of technology exploration and innovation.

      The team works across all labs at SRA including advanced research in AI, next generation communications, digital health and robotics, while also working closely with product teams in mobile devices, visual displays and home appliances.

      Position Summary:

      The R&D Innovation team at SRA is dedicated to providing comprehensive project planning and operational support to ensure research activities align with corporate strategy and goals. This team excels in coordinating cross-functional meetings and events to enhance R&D synergy, managing logistics for internal and external visitors, and preparing communication materials that accurately reflect the progress and innovations of the research teams. Furthermore, the team continuously analyze market and technology trends to guide strategic decisions, fostering innovation in the research center’s operations and management.

      Position Responsibilities:

      • Prepare well-structured and tailored communication materials (ppt, doc, etc.) that suit the diverse languages of business and technical teams, as well as operational and executive levels, to effectively report the research teams’ progress and achievements
      • Conduct ongoing research on market & Tech trends to influence strategic decisions, such as R&D focus and strategic initiatives that innovate the research center’s operations and management
      • Support research teams in defining project goals (including KPIs), tracking milestones and progress, and handling risk and change management
      • Help prepare various reports that clearly communicate to key stakeholders about ongoing progress, potential risks, and plans for mitigation.
      • Facilitate the execution of operational procedures and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, IT, Legal and Facility
      • Provide support in organizing and executing small to medium-sized cross-functional meetings and events designed to foster R&D synergy and cross-functional initiatives
      • Execute meticulous internal/external visitor coordination, demonstrating planning and implementation skills in logistics and streamlined communication with partners and key stakeholders

      Required Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in technology or management or equivalent combination of education, training and experience (Master preferred)
      • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, R&D operations for major tech companies and/or business consulting
      • Profound understanding of Samsung Electronic’s products and the research areas we explore, contributing to more insightful and impactful outcomes
      • Proven project management skills with a focus on timely delivery and attention to detail
      • Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule
      • Strong technical communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams within and/or outside of the organization.
      • Strong skills in data analysis, with the capacity to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
      • Strong verbal and written skills in English and Korean for polished presentations and reports
      • Proven experience working in a cross-cultural, multi-national corporation
      • Experienced in Microsoft Office Programs

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

      $127,300 $174,900 USD
