      Food Commercial - Compliance Technologist

Working closely with Suppliers, Technical Managers and the Central Technical Operations team to ensure we are compliant with Sainsbury’s food safety and sourcing requirements. You will be instrumental in managing and co-ordinating the delivery of our Incident Management Procedure alongside our technical leadership team. In the technical team we work with external partners to strengthen our due diligence and drive consistency in our products, you will work closely to deliver the management and coordination of information with our partners. This role has extensive internal and external networking opportunities.

      What you'll do

      You will assume the responsibility for proactively managing KPI compliance with both our global supply base and external partners. You will support the coordination and delivery of the Food Technical Governance meetings, including minutes and the follow through of actions. You will support the Policy and Compliance Manager with the development of our technical management system documents and communication internally and externally. Your role will involve centrally coordinating the delivery of our incident management procedure, ensuring timely implementation of actions and escalation where necessary. You will provide admin support and specialist knowledge to the technical team.

      Who you are

      You are a highly skilled professional with a strong background in a compliance or technical role within the food industry. Your strong understanding of technical industry standards and manufacturing experience enables you to investigate issues, develop robust action plans and deliver technical excellence in all aspects of product compliance. Networking is a key aspect to this role, which requires excellent communication skills. You will be self-motivated and show resilience in managing constantly changing priorities.
