      You’ll work in a c.10-person internal strategy function that operates similarly to an in-house consultancy. Support and drive diverse strategic projects across CFG Clubs and business units ranging from long term value creation to existing business optimisation

      Your Impact

      1. Manage the day-to-day development and delivery of key strategic projects, and/or the identification and execution of new (investment) opportunities

      1. Work with internal stakeholders to assist in the development & refinement of strategic opportunities.

      1. Design and create high quality presentations with appropriate tone and clear narrative appropriate for use / review by senior management, with limited manager guidance

      1. Deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, as required

      1. Utilise and own flexible and robust ‘client ready’ models to appraise new opportunities
      2. Coordinate, guide and review the work of junior team members

      1. Provide regular status updates and escalate issues / seek guidance from the Director and Head of Strategy

      What we are looking for

      Essential

      • Strong knowledge of key business & strategy concepts, including market sizing, financial analysis, business case development & strategy planning
      • Excellent understanding of financial evaluation methods and the sports (business) industry (both clubs and broader value chain), including key drivers of revenue / cost / profitability, business models, governance & regulatory structures in different markets etc.
      • Highly capable user of Microsoft Excel, able to efficiently build well-structured and flexible ‘client ready’ models
      • Able to manage own workload to balance priorities and required timelines, tracking progress on projects and providing succinct manager updates
      • Able to develop stakeholder management relationships with managers across CFG departments
      • Ability to communicate complex information concisely to non-technical audiences across CFG
      • Can apply an “80:20” approach, focussing time on those areas most critical to a successful project outcome
      • Flexibility – able to pivot quickly across a range of projects that could vary significantly by entity / client / project focus / deliverable / scale / timeline / approach / manager style

      Desirable

      • 3-4yrs experience in a professional services firm (management/strategy consulting, finance, banking) or the strategy / corporate finance unit of a top tier company in the sports, leisure or entertainment industries
      • Foreign language proficiency, with particular emphasis on CFG club portfolio country languages
