      Join us as a Strategy Manager

      • This is an opportunity for a self-starting, inherently curious, and disciplined Strategy Manager to lead the development of the overall strategy across NatWest Digital X and provide thought leadership to drive action
      • You’ll also provide vital contribution to the strategic development of individual areas of NatWest Digital X such as Technology, AI, Security, and Operations in order to produce robust communicable strategies with clear customer outcomes
      • As part of the NatWest Digital X Chief Operating Office team, you’ll hone your leadership capabilities and gain recognition for your expertise in data-led insights, influencing, coaching, engagement, and the development of skills

      What you'll do

      You’ll be joining NatWest Digital X which covers our bank-wide capabilities in technology, engineering, data, AI, fraud, financial crime, security, and operations.

      In this key role, you’ll manage the strategy development of NatWest Digital X and deliver its prioritised strategy product backlog, producing customer value in a continuous, iterative fashion. You’ll be well positioned to use expert stakeholder management and influence across NatWest Digital X and our customer-facing franchises to get input, definition, and agreement, while making sure that the strategy is cascaded appropriately to drive clear understanding and strong delivery commitment.

      Other responsibilities will include:

      • Facilitating and providing key inputs to the longer-term development of the NatWest Digital X strategy, delivering specific technology and other strategies that drive customer outcomes and simplification benefits to ensure the bank is digital first, adaptive, and future fit
      • Contribute to strategic decision making with executive and senior NatWest Digital X, technology, and business stakeholders by developing and providing thought leadership and data driven actionable insights
      • Providing high quality executive briefings on external perspectives, including areas of specific strategic focus, industry trends, competitor activity, and the vendor landscape
      • Leading the understanding and application of the overall strategy within and across NatWest Digital X and wider businesses, and building strong connectivity and effective networking across our strategy community

      The skills you'll need

      We’re looking for someone with strong leadership and consulting capabilities, good research and insight generation skills, and a strategic and disciplined background. You’ll demonstrate experience in developing strategic recommendations and influencing all strategic direction and change. Additionally, we’ll look to you to have delivery experience, working collegiately in and across a large diverse organisation, ideally with a global footprint and the ability to establish strong and effective ongoing partnerships across all parts of the business.

      You’ll also need:

      • In-depth experience of digital and technology banking strategies and decision support
      • Knowledge of, and the ability to understand and identify actionable strategic implications across the complex changing digital and technology landscape
      • Good collaboration, consulting, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at senior level
      • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management level colleagues and build presentations to external audiences
      • Experience of working in an Agile team
