      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assist Taxpayer Advocate Section staff with research, analysis, and resolution of complex tax accounts
      - Utilize applicable state and federal laws, department policies, and bureau processes to support case resolutions
      - Perform office duties typical of an office environment as needed
      - Maintain communication with taxpayers and tax professionals to facilitate case management
      - Ensure compliance with IRS regulations regarding access to Federal Tax Information (FTI)

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Current enrollment in high school, vocational, technical school, or post-secondary educational institution
      - No specific type or amount of experience required
      - Ability to work a maximum of 129 hours per month
      - Must have a designated safe workspace with sufficient internet access for remote work
      - Work must be performed in the state of Michigan

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in customer service or related fields
      - Familiarity with accounting or income tax practices, either through education or employment
      - Proficiency in computer applications, including Internet Explorer, Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook
      - Experience in writing business letters, correspondence, or formal reports
      - Enrollment in a degree program majoring or minoring in accounting or law
