The Office of Communications and Marketing works with schools and units across the university to tell the story of the George Washington University and its community members. Through a variety of communications and publications, media relations, graphic and web design, social media and marketing, we strive to support the university's strategic priorities, enhance its reputation and build community.
Position Specific Summary
The Office of Communications and Marketing seeks a creative, curious, and analytical student for a flexible and project-based role focused on digital communications and strategy, content development, audience engagement, and performance analytics. The student will contribute ideas, help identify emerging trends, track performance metrics, and assist in enhancing the effectiveness of the university's digital presence across platforms based on data and peer benchmarking. Projects will vary based on institutional priorities and the student's skills and interests but will likely include creating content and collecting and analyzing key performance metrics. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.

Standard Position Description
The student will manage and/or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and/or special events. Tasks may include: Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and/or managing of social media accounts.
