Position Specific Summary
Raising A Village Foundation is seeking creative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Communications Assistants.
Graphic Artist: to support the organization's marketing, communications, and brand visibility efforts. This Federal Work-Study position provides hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, graphic design, social media management, digital storytelling, and executive visibility strategy. This role is responsible for: Creating graphics for social media, newsletters, events, and fundraising campaigns. Supporting social media content planning, scheduling, and engagement. Assisting with content creation that highlights RAVF's impact and community partnerships. Supporting visibility efforts for the Founder & President. Assisting with website updates and communications materials. Supporting organizational storytelling and brand consistency.
Photography & Videography Assistant: to capture, edit, and organize visual content that tells the story of RAVF's impact. The Photography & Videography Assistant will help document programs, events, partnerships, volunteers, staff, and community members through compelling visual storytelling. This role is responsible for: Capturing high-quality photos and videos during programs and events. Editing and organizing multimedia content. Producing short-form and long-form videos for social media and marketing purposes. Supporting fundraising, recruitment, and community engagement campaigns through visual storytelling. Maintaining organized media archives.
Standard Position Description
The student will provide basic support with print, web, social media, and/or other digital content. Tasks may include: posting and updating website pages and social media accounts; create written communications and/or newsletters, assist with graphic and/or video editing. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Personal vehicle. Coursework in communications or related fields. Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools. Strong written communication skills. Strong graphic design abilities. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills.
