What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Become an expert in student data privacy, data protection, and records management laws and best practices
- Collaborate with team members and maintain professional relationships with privacy representatives in districts and charter schools
- Develop and implement processes for addressing privacy complaints and concerns from parents
- Provide training and support to districts and charter schools on best practices for student data privacy
- Conduct thorough investigations into complaints and potential violations of data privacy laws
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in public schools in any capacity (e.g. teacher, counselor, administrator)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work based on evolving needs and give/receive critical feedback
- Proficiency in using Google tools and Microsoft Office Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience providing professional development for adults
- Knowledge of student data security and privacy law
- Experience creating or maintaining courses in a learning management system
- Background in digital content creation, including interactive training modules and videos
- Portfolio showcasing digital content creations
