      The opportunity

      We are seeking a Subcontract Manager for the SuedLink DC4 project . This project involves the construction of an extra-high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission link between Wilster in Schleswig-Holstein and Bergrheinfeld in Bavaria. As a Subcontract Manager in Wilster, Schleswig-Holstein, you will be responsible for the commercial management and administration of all subcontracting contracts for construction and installation work.

      How you'll make an impact

      • Responsible for the commercial processing of contracts between Hitachi and subcontractors for construction and installation work, in collaboration with various departments — from initial tendering and award discussions to kick-off meetings and ongoing project handling
      • Oversee and support the entire project lifecycle, including reporting, to ensure smooth execution and successful completion of subcontractor services
      • You organize and conduct kick-off meetings as well as regular on-site meetings with subcontractors and the Hitachi Energy project team
      • You ensure that all subcontractors and Hitachi Energy comply with and fulfill their contractual obligations
      • You prepare and participate in Constructability Reviews, which are led by the Project C&C Manager (PCCM)

      Your background

      • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/electrical engineering or equivalent technical qualifications
      • You speak German and English fluently
      • You have experience in assessing contractors’ compliance with international standards, laws and regulations
      • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
      • You preferably have experience with AVA software and SAP4/HANA
      • A proactive mindset in planning and executing activities characterizes you
      • You are characterized by strong negotiating skills and are very communicative
      • Willingness to work on-site at the construction site
      • You hold a valid driving license and have access to your own vehicle, ensuring flexibility and mobility
