What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct investigations to determine a claim's subrogation potential and pursue appropriate recovery
- Identify, investigate, and gather necessary information to support recovery opportunities effectively
- Prepare documentation on unsettled claims for communication with claims professionals, clients, attorneys, and collection agencies
- Negotiate settlements with responsible parties, directing legal action if necessary
- Maintain an active diary to ensure all claims are aggressively pursued and documented
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in handling Workers Compensation, Automobile, General Liability, and Property claims or subrogation experience
- Understanding of medical terminology, physical damage repair, and negligence laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; professional designations (CPCU, AIC, etc.) are a plus

- Familiarity with compliance policies and procedures related to claims management
- Previous experience in a safety-sensitive position within the transportation industry
