What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist teachers with classroom duties, including providing small group instruction
- Support students with academic subjects on a one-to-one, small group, or whole class basis
- Prepare and reproduce classroom materials, and assist with bulletin boards and displays
- Supervise students during lunch and assist with supervision in various school settings
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support instructional staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent training/experience
- Some knowledge of childhood growth and development and behavior management techniques
- Demonstrated ability to supervise children effectively
- Ability to perform basic clerical tasks and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
- Must successfully complete background investigations including FBI and State Police checks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Familiarity with general academic subjects sufficient to assist students in learning
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions accurately
- Skills in behavior management and classroom support techniques
