      Experience an exciting summer internship at RWE Clean Energy, where you'll work with industry experts, contribute to real-world projects, forge valuable connection s in a supportive intern cohort, and grow personally and professionally in the sustainable energy sector. The Energy Analyst Intern will play a vital role in our Wholesale Services team at RWE Clean Energy. The intern will assist power and gas traders, learning about energy markets and helping to optimize the assets we manage. They will learn and participate in our day-to-day processes – analyzing and forecasting markets to identify opportunities and hedge risks, coordinating with clients and across internal teams, and developing a robust understanding of the energy space and its evolving trends.

      Responsibilities:

      • Conduct Day-Ahead and Real-Time Bidding/Optimization
      • Engage in Market Research and Innovation, enhancing comprehension of market rules and dynamics while refining existing processes and developing new proprietary tools to boost efficiencies and elevate client experience
      • Handle Ad-hoc projects
      • Perform Market Analysis and Forecasting to pinpoint opportunities and mitigate risks

      Qualifications:

      • E nrolled in an accredited US university program , pu rsuing a degree in in Engineering, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
      • Strong quantitative and communication skills.
      • Great attention to detail, and a self-driven desire to learn and grow.
      • Interest in energy markets and the energy transition.

      T his is a full-time 12-week summer internship starting at the end of May in our Valhalla office.

      Pay range: The hourly range for this position in New York is $25 per hour - $27 per hour. The listed hourly range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
