      The Opportunity

      Samsung Electronics Australia is looking for a Supply Chain Manager (Demand Planning focus) for the Consumer Electronics (CE) team.

      The role is split into two discreet functions:

      •Inbound: Demand management and supply forecasting for all CE products to ensure efficient supply chain operation and achievement of Supply Chain KPI’s, with focus on minimization of Aged inventory.

      •Outbound: To manage order optimization, stock distribution and outbound demand planning for the CE division.

      Role and Responsibilities

      Demand Plan Management

      - Support CE Team in all reporting requirements related to supply chain functions

      - Manage demand plan and review sales forecast (AP1/AP2) for assigned product groups

      - Analyze AP2 Forecast planned by product marketing team and guide the team with forward planning recommendation within locked period

      - Manage overall SCM process (generate SCM files, collect updates from all account managers, share appropriate analysis)

      - Maintain aged inventory level in line with target


      Inventory Management

      - Monitor inbound inventory and support allocation for accounts and states

      - Monitor outbound functions, aged inventory level and clearance plan

      - Analyze SEAU overall inventory and provide recommendation

      - Liaise closely with HQ and factories to support team and ensure Return To Forecast based on demand input for long-term future

      Supply Chain Team Management

      - Prepare and lead weekly SCM Day Meeting to share relevant updates and action items with the wider team and manage overall SCM operations and tasks

      - Track and manage SCM performance KPIs and Demand Plan Behaviour KPIs

      - Represent SCM Team as a team leader and communicate with Head of Division and Business Director to align on directions along with other senior leadership team in CE Team

      - Provide direction and priority instructions to team members on daily/weekly/monthly tasks

      Data Analytics

      - Data mine available sales and data to provide forward sales projections

      - Analyze historic data to provide insights into likely sales outcomes

      - Analyze and project dealer purchasing based on credit limit and historic data

      Report to Head of Division on request, databased information on business outcomes and simulation

      Skills and Qualifications

      Qualifications and Experience

      • Tertiary degree in Business, Supply Chain or related discipline
      • Demand planning and forecasting experience
      • Demand forecast operation experience
      • Inventory/logistics management experience
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional environment
      • Ability to manage communication to key stakeholders both internal and external
      • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
      • Experience in vendor management and project management
      • Highly desirable for Korean speaking background but not mandatory
