      Job Description

Join our Sourcing, Quality and Regulatory Improvement team and play a key role in bringing Rituals’ iconic products to life. From our legendary shower foams to luxurious skincare, and from home fragrance sticks to scented candles!

At Rituals, we don’t just create luxurious products, we shape a more sustainable future through conscious innovation and responsible sourcing. As part of our mission to lead in well-being with purpose, we are looking for a visionary and impact-driven Sustainable Sourcing Manager to lead the charge in sustainable packaging sourcing.

You will sit at the intersection of R&D and Sourcing, translating our bold ambitious CO₂ reduction targets into actionable supplier strategies, guiding us toward smarter materials, cleaner production methods, and stronger supplier partnerships.

As our Sustainable Sourcing Manager you play a strategic role in turning sustainability goals into sourcing realities. You will drive the integration of carbon-conscious materials and processes into our product development lifecycle, ensuring our supply chain is not only future-proof but future-positive.

      You will:

      • Lead the development and execution of the sustainability sourcing roadmap for packaging.
      • Act as the primary sustainability interface between R&D and Sourcing.
      • Champion the transition to low-impact, circular, and regenerative sourcing models.
      • Build strong partnerships with suppliers to unlock sustainable innovation at scale.
      • Perform CO₂ emissions analysis on packaging and formulation sources and lead reduction strategies.
      • Assess supplier production and energy practices, encouraging shifts to renewable energy and low-carbon operations.
      • Translate complex environmental data into clear, compelling business cases and partner with finance to support decision-making.
      • Drive scenario planning and materials modelling for future-ready sourcing decisions.
      • Ensure compliance with evolving sustainability standards and embed best practices in everyday sourcing.

      Qualifications

You are a thought leader with deep technical sourcing expertise and a clear passion for shaping sustainable systems. You know how to engage stakeholders across the value chain — from internal R&D to global supplier networks.

      Your experience and skills:

      • 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally in cosmetics or consumer goods.
      • You can connect long-term environmental goals with practical, commercially viable solutions.
      • Proven expertise in sustainable packaging sourcing.
      • Strong track record in carbon and waste reduction, and circular economy practices.
      • You are a strategic systems thinker who thrives on complexity and innovation.
      • Experience working across R&D and Sourcing functions with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
      • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with sustainability data, tools (we work with Sweep), and emissions tracking.
      • In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, regulatory landscapes, and lifecycle assessments.
      • You’re a collaborator and challenger, not afraid to question the status quo and inspire action across teams.

Grow with us! The next steps are:

      • Please apply via our career site
      • Our recruiter, Peter Swinkels, will contact you within 10 working days
      • An introductory meeting with a team member and the hiring manager follows

      • A second interview
      • In the event of a positive outcome, you will receive a proposal with the terms of employment

Acquisition is not appreciated. Please note that applications via email are not considered.
