      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Undergraduate degree
      • At least five years of non-profit fundraising experience with 2-3 years of leadership experience
      • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a professional atmosphere with high levels of integrity, intellect, creativity and initiative.
      • Experience directing fundraising initiatives.
      • Understanding of capital campaigns, grants, foundations and planned giving.
      • Excellent written and communication skills.
      • Experience working with professional staff in health/ human services related agency or programs preferred.
      • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency with common industry databases/ software, Microsoft Office tools and with automated office procedures.

      RESPONIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

      • Develop and work within the department's annual plan of action and budget, managing events and programs to effectively implement each event in the calendar year.
      • Research and identify sources of financial and other potential support for the agency, initiate follow up in cooperation with appropriate staff and volunteers.
      • Research and follow grant applications and reports to foundations, corporations and government sources, including budget process.
      • Organize and coordinate presentations to individuals, groups or corporations.
      • Direct specific campaigns including direct mail, membership and special event programs.
      • Establish or refine department systems.
      • Develop personal relationships and communications with prospects and donors, community leaders and others who are interested in the agency's goals.
      • Analyze results of projects to assist in short- and long-range plans.
      • Develop criteria to maintain donor information procedures to facilitate reports, evaluations and forecasts.
      • Represent agency in the local and larger communities.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with editors, writers, producers of media pieces and with other community agencies.
      • Perform other duties as assigned
