- Ensure that the building is safe, inspect for indoor/outdoor cleanliness and maintenance issues, and assess internal temperatures.
- Serve as a crossing guard during the school year to provide a safe route for students and families.
- Receive, store, distribute and inventory supplies, materials, water, and equipment.
- Strategically plan how to effectively utilize contract janitorial staff and facilities vendors in order to ensure the school is consistently clean and safe.
- Serve as the key contact for contract janitorial staff and provide feedback and support as necessary.
- Serve as the key contact for building engineer(s) and provide feedback and support as necessary.
- In coordination with operation team and other staff members, move, arrange and/or reset classroom and office furniture.
- Establish, track progress against, and meet or exceed goals and deadlines for the custodial and facilities team.
- Effectively respond to and resolve urgent/emergency situations related to janitorial and facilities issues, even during non-school hours.
- Assist or make minor repairs to counters, floor tiles, stairs, cabinet doors, shelves, and various other minimal carpentry repairs.
- Assist with painting as needed.
- Maintain grounds by emptying outdoor trash, removing litter, debris, and removing snow and ice from walkways, entry/exit points, steps.
- Perform daily check for cleaning of classrooms, offices, common spaces, and outdoor spaces, including trash collection, sweeping and mopping, and dusting and cleaning of surfaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

- You have a high school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- You have five plus years relevant work experience (required).
- You have computer experience in a professional setting (preferred).
- You can climb ladders, bend, stoop and stand for long time periods.
- You can lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally, with the assistance of special equipment and/or other workers, up to 90 pounds.
- You are able to work outdoors during every season and in various types of weather.
- You can manage others fairly and effectively.
- You are able to perform all duties with limited guidance and instruction.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced facilities and building management professional to serve as Ingenuity Prep’s Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for general and preventive maintenance, event setup and support, as well as ensuring cleanliness throughout the campus. The Facilities Manager will report to the Director of Operations and supervise and support contract janitorial and building-wide facilities team.

Salary Range: $56,650 - $70,748 (commensurate with 1-10 years of experience)
