What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and review incoming electronic lab reports for syphilis, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Enter lab results into a confidential database and update patient information as needed
- Initiate syphilis investigations and assign cases to disease intervention specialists
- Build and maintain relationships with health jurisdictions and laboratories to collect and verify data
- Perform quality assurance checks on reports and resolve data issues with stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with health data and medical terminology, plus 2 years with health database systems, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with various stakeholders
- Experience in acting as a central point of contact between internal and external entities
- Ability to work a full-time schedule, including occasional adjustments for business needs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of syphilis, infectious diseases, and notifiable condition reporting
- Experience with STI, Hepatitis C, and/or HIV confidential health data
