What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install, maintain, and update Linux operating systems to ensure reliability and security
- Monitor performance and availability of Linux servers, network equipment, and storage infrastructure
- Develop and implement system patching and upgrade plans for operating systems, software, and firmware
- Administer backup solutions and conduct routine restoration tests to verify data integrity
- Coordinate vendor activity within the datacenter, ensuring adherence to internal protocols
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 6 years of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology-related work experience
- Authorized to work in the United States; not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions
- Deep understanding of Linux server environments and backup systems
- Strong analytical thinking and proactive troubleshooting skills
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting high-availability Linux environments in enterprise or government settings
- Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery protocols
- Proficiency in scripting languages used for system automation and monitoring
- Prior experience with datacenter operations and vendor management
