We own and operate the Golden Nugget Hotels and Casinos located in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada, Atlantic City, New Jersey and Biloxi, Mississippi.       Responsibilities

      SUMMARY:

      Under the direction of the Shift Manager the Pit Manager is responsible for overall management and smooth operation of multiple table games within one or more gaming areas (Pits).

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

      • Exhibit all conduct in accordance with Louisiana Gaming regulations and Golden Nugget policies and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.
      • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
      • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns or observations.
      • Offer the highest possible level of guest service resulting in a maximum level of guest enjoyment and return play.
      • Train, coach, counsel, recognize floor supervisors and dealers who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.
      • Evaluate current business conditions, special events, and weather, with respect to current staffing levels in order to maintain proper gaming levels at any given point.
      • Maintain a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of morale, productivity and performance.
      • Responsible for distribution of cards, dice and tiles to gaming pits.
      • Responsible for the distribution of all company and departmental communication.
      • Visually inspect all casino equipment and follow procedures for notification, repair and replacement.
      • Handle casino guests’ needs, complaints and disputes related to table games and the overall property in a timely, professional manner.
      • Ensure the protection of customers’ rewards and credit lines.
      • Maintain confidentiality of all Golden Nugget proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and all other confidential information.
      • Maintain a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of productivity, performance and morale.
      • Maintain excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations with guests, vendors, visitors and Golden Nugget staff.
      • Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
      • Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.
      • Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate.
      • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
      • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
      • Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records.
      • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
      • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS :

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      • Must be knowledgeable in all primary casino games and secondary games.
      • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
      • Must be able to provide excellent customer service including eye contact, smiling, greeting and interacting with guests.
      • Ability to read and understand all Golden Nugget policies and procedures and ability to complete standard forms and reports is required.
      • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
      • Must possess computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
      • Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
      • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
      • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals.
      • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
      • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
      • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
      • Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

      • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred;
      • Seven (7) years table games experience in a large (50 or more table games) casino strongly preferred;
      • Five (5) years at Floor Supervisor level or above is required.
      • Must be knowledgeable of all casino games and rules.

      Pay Range

      USD $60,000.00 - USD $60,000.00 /Yr.
