What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expert-level database administration services for Defense Business Systems
- Design, create, and maintain databases in client/server environments
- Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate data usage
- Research and recommend software/hardware requirements for DBMS
- Assist stakeholders in resolving database access and availability issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 10 years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL Server
- Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field with 10 years of relevant experience
- DoD 8570/8140 certification as applicable for IT-II Critical Sensitive position
- Expert-level proficiency in Oracle database administration and advanced SQL Server skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret or higher security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Database Management
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administrator certification
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Data Management and Analytics certification
- Experience with DISA environments and familiarity with Azure GovCloud platforms
- Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
