Review high and ultra-high net worth individual income tax returns (1040), gift tax returns (709), trusts/estates (1041), private foundations (990-PF), and some experience in returns (1065/1120S) that are often part of a family group
Coordination with clients and their advisors on quarterly and year-end tax planning and projections
Experience with tax treatment of private equity and hedge fund investments, intra-family gifting and planning, deferred compensation and related technical matters
Responding to federal and state tax notices and collaborating on tax exams with Controversy group
Reviewing and analyzing documents, transactions for purchase and sale of assets, application of tax law changes,
Responsible for engagement planning and organization, delegation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, achieve quality goals, maintain productivity, and maximize realization
Conduct tax research using RIA Checkpoint, BNA Bloomberg and other applicable platforms
Manage client assignments and assure timely filing of all related tax returns and planning projects
Train, supervise and develop staff and teams on technical matters, client service and technology
Opportunity to develop outside relationships with a goal of fostering business development through involvement in leadership roles in professional groups, community service, and personal relationships with other professional advisors such as attorneys, investment advisors, insurance advisors, private bankers, etc
Years+ experience required : Minimum of 5+ years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm
Education required : Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study . Advanced tax degree is a plus.
Certification require d/ preferred : Active CPA license required
Technical knowledge of individual tax planning and compliance
Significant experience servicing High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individual clients & their related entities, businesses, & families while working with their various professional advisors (attorneys, estate planners, investment advisors, insurance advisors, etc )
Excellent communication skills (oral/written), organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
Strong project management, and analytical skills
Strong leadership, training, mentoring and staff development skills
Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
Preferred working knowledge of CCH Axcess , XCM, SurePrep , BNA Income Tax Planner and other tax preparation, workflow and research software programs
Ability to travel to client locations as needed

The salary range for this role takes into account many factors including, but not limited to, years and type of experience, skill sets, and certifications. The projected salary range for this position is $104,000 - $218,000 .
