      Purpose of Job

      We are looking for a Tax Manager to manage the over tax provision, tax filing, and tax compliance procedures for the company. This position will report to Director of Tax.

      Job Description

      • Assist Tax Director to manage all aspects of the tax functions, including but not limit to tax provision, tax compliance, tax dispute, tax planning and tax research.
      • Lead the tax provision process and demonstrate a deep understanding of ASC740 and related accounting and financial reporting skills necessary to complete an accurate tax provision and disclosure.
      • Assess and manage tax risks, including identifying potential tax issues and developing remedy plans for mitigation, as well as accounting and documenting for Uncertain Tax Position Statements (UTPs) under ASC740-10.
      • Manage the company's domestic and foreign tax compliance process, including collaborating with service provider(s) on review of federal, state, foreign and local income tax returns, as well as S&U, HST/GST, VAT, property tax returns and other regulatory business activity returns.
      • Review quarterly income tax estimated payments and monthly indirect tax payments and ensure all tax payments are accurate and timely.
      • Perform monthly tax accounts reconciliation and be in compliance with SOX.
      • Manage tax audits and examinations, interface with external auditors in responding to information request, and coordinate with service provider(s) to ensure that the company’s interest are protected.
      • Monitor tax development, stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations as well as industry development.
      • Be data driven, optimize tax technological solutions and automation to streamline tax process.
      • Perform other responsibilities, duties, and projects as assigned.

      Job Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
      • Master’s degree in business taxation and/or CPA is preferred.
      • 6 - 8 years public accounting, industry, or mixed experience.
      • E-Commence or retail industry experience is a plus.
      • Demonstrate solid understanding of tax related matters, along with a well-rounded finance and accounting acumen.
      • Experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax research and preparing memorandums.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
      • Dedicated to meeting the requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly, and communicating complex tax issues to non-tax audiences bother verbally and in writing.
      • Effective resources and project planning, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
      • Interface and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across an organization to develop solutions and facilitate the integration of business processes across the organization.
      • Demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

      Essential Mental & Physical Function

      Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor's guidelines.

      Physical Functions: Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.

      Pay Transparency
      This job posting may span more than one job level.
      The base salary range for this position in City of Industry is $95,000 - $135,000 annually.
      In addition to base salary, this job is eligible for additional annual bonus or incentive.
