What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the launch of the remote Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, including recruiting local Tax Site Coordinators
- Support day-to-day operations of the VITA site during tax season, providing technical support to volunteers and clients
- Complete IRS Link and Learn tax training at the Advanced level and Site Coordinator Training
- Assist with program data collection and ensure compliance with IRS and VITA program policies
- Conduct quality reviews and electronically file tax returns as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience as a VITA volunteer or in personal income tax preparation
- Experience in a non-profit organization preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and experience working with a diverse client base
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to supervise a large group of volunteers

- Familiarity with TaxSlayer software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of comfort in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
- Commitment to the economic empowerment of low-income and underserved populations
