- Become the trusted authority on best-in-class e-Commerce principles and growth drivers while supporting, inspiring and advocating for your direct reports and cross-function team towards vision and goal-attainment
- Identify, define, and scope projects required to accelerate sales and share growth across pureplay and omnichannel retailers while seeking and coordinating the support of cross-functional local and global teams
- Raise online organizational IQ to enrich internal decision making and equip sales teams to drive thought leaderships at key accounts
- Take a visible/leadership role in developing senior-level relationships with Key Accounts and represent executive team with VP Sales in bi-annual Top-to-Top meetings
- Achieves revenue, margin, growth, and service objectives within assigned eCommerce accounts set within context of divisional strategy
- Working together with assigned resources and cross-functional teams, develops, aligns, and executes against a long-term eCommerce growth strategy that strengthens fundamentals to drive sustainable channel development and unlocks unique opportunities to deliver expansive online growth.
- Develops strong working relationship with customers, and together with direct reports, supports creating and delivering online JBPs that meet retailer needs and expectations; monitors and tracks performance versus plan and adjusts strategies and programming to meet budget
- Participates in Bayer sales team annual business planning process within assigned accounts.
- Leverages business analytics to influence customer and company decision making at appropriate levels to further mutual objectives in a sustainable manner
- Influences and supports category initiatives (ie new product development), driving sustainable channel economics and strategic integration into digital landscape
- Monitors and drives ROI via performance-based and brand building marketing strategies to enhance consumer experience and successfully attract and retain consumers
- Develops and deploys eCommerce data strategy; commercializes reporting internally/externally to drive speed-to-insight
- Helps raise 'on-line IQ' across Bayer to enrich internal decision making and equip sales teams to drive thought leaderships at key accounts
- Attends weekly/quarterly Amazon customer meetings to review performance, action items, and risks & opportunities
- Represents executive team with VP in JBPs/top-to-tops
- Supports CBM in annual vendor negotiations
- Attends non-Amazon eCommerce meetings to support account leads.
- Connects regularly with broader NA eCommerce team
- Leads Quarterly business reviews with NA leadership
- Collaborates with non-Amazon customer teams to advise/support on eCommerce
- Interfaces with marketing & category teams to ensure alignment on key issues of strategic planning
- Regularly meets with direct reports to discuss expectations, offer feedback, and review performance
- Attends regular meetings with AMZ media group and other media partners.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of progressive sales or marketing experience in the consumer package or health care industries
- 5+ years of experience developing online sales and integrated marketing programs (paid search, SEO, email marketing, online display advertising, social, etc.)
- Direct key account selling experience required; high-value customer experience preferred (ideally with Amazon)
- Deep understanding of search and display advertising strategy to drive marketing KPIs and ROI
- Stay on the leading edge of digital/eCommerce trends, benchmarks, and innovations in the industry
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and coach a team to their full potential
- Proven ability to influence key decision making at various levels at both company and customer
- Strong financial management skills; can effectively manage, distribute, and track budget and resources
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating a highly collaborative style of working and self-starter attitude
- Customer focused and able to create win/win situations through advanced negotiation skills
- Sound analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Team Lead, eCommerce
The Team Lead, eCommerce position is responsible for Bayer’s eCommerce business performance and digital presence within the Canadian Retail Market as part of the larger North American operating region. Within this role, you will help set the vision and growth strategy towards overall market success and sales leadership in eCommerce. You will manage a team directly responsible for the Amazon account and partner with digital marketing and omnichannel (Walmart, Instacart, Loblaws, etc) account teams to deliver against long term strategic ambitions. This requires a range of experience and core competencies to set and manage account plans, sales targets, strategic customer relationships, as well as be a resource and subject matter expert to help influence and expand capabilities for teams calling on ‘bricks and mortar’ customers with an online presence.
This role has direct responsibility for customer (P&L) goals and sales volume to ensure achievement of Bayer Consumer Health objectives and priorities in e-Commerce. Focusing on building strategic business opportunities with senior-level customer counterparts, you will drive short-terms sales results, while building long-range plans and strategy supporting expansive growth in the next 3-5 years.
This role is a member of the Sales Leadership Team (SLT) and can be considered as a ‘playing-coach’ with elements of direct customer accountability and leadership of their direct-report team.
