Lead and mentor a team of the Project Controls Cost Analyst cost/change control, planning and reporting activities
Actively participates in recruiting, training, and development of individuals and teams. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching for team members. Perform performance reviews. Drive resource and capacity management across the teams to support project slotting and allocation of assignments across the teams.
Work independently and with management to define project requirements, tasks and timelines.
Understanding project work scope, needs and deliverables
Align project work scope with company structures and control accounts
Prepare performance reporting
Develop the project execution plan for forecasting, tracking, and reporting project cost
Responsible for implementation of project control procedures and development of other Project Controls Analyst
Develop and maintain status reports to keep management informed of project progress
Interface with project team and task managers to define scope of work in the development and update of cost information and identification of variances from original plan
Advise management of risks that may affect project variances from budget
Evaluate possible areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
Analyze trends and estimate/forecast accuracy and other cost related analysis as needed.
Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up forecast figures.
Develop labor productivity and (installation unit costs where applicable) based on projected site conditions and historical data.
Compare subcontractor ‘s estimations and evaluation with in-house estimation
Prepare cost summary sheets and get approval from required stakeholders
Ensure that the quotations are properly analyzed, and any omissions or support work required for the subcontractors is covered in the estimate
Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and/or technical degree or certification in related field a definite asset.
PMP would be an asset
Minimum 10+ year’s cost controls experience
Experience leading, developing and training a team
Experience with project management, schedule development, budget control, monitoring and analysis, forecasting, change management, planning, reporting, subcontract administration, estimating and financial control
Experience with Excel, P6, MS Project, Maximo for Business
Read and interpret engineering design drawings
Identify and meet customers’ needs expectations and requirements
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

As a member of our Cost Controls Team, the Team Lead will provide support to all of ENMAX Power Corporation (EPC) for all design and construction projects providing project planning, cost tracking and forecasting, and project financial support for these projects.

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
