Job summary
Team Manager - Forensic Community Mental Health Team
6 month secondment opportunity or fixed term
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Team Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading the provision of specialist Forensic Service within the secondary care Community Mental Health Teams. This role will focus on working with individuals with a forensic risk history, providing line management, supervision and day to day management of the team.
The successful candidate will be an experienced mental health professional with strong knowledge, skills and experience in leadership and managing staff. You will be a team player committed to innovation and service development, have a positive, motivational and proactive manner. The successful person will support the ongoing transformation. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their personal alignment with the Trust's Values.
This role requires the ability to multitask and prioritise - incorporating service development, operational and people management. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with significant experience in secondary mental health care to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex forensic needs.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will have experience in the leadership and supervision of clinical staff and have excellent knowledge of health and social care policy relating to the delivery of mental health care.
As the Team Manager you will be expected to input into service evaluations and audits as well as carry out the managerial responsibilities of appraisals, managing sickness/absence and training for staff. Innovation and a creative approach are encouraged and being a positive role model is essential.

As the successful candidate you must have a professional qualification i.e., nursing, occupational therapist or social worker, with substantial post registration experience as a qualified professional of which you will have recent experience working with clients within a secondary care mental health setting.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You may occasionally need to work flexibly outside regular office hours to respond to service user need.
