What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade AWS environments utilizing EC2, EKS, RDS, and VPC architectures
- Direct the migration of Tivoli Workload Scheduler components from on-premises platforms to AWS-native solutions
- Define and enforce global standards for job scheduling, workload streams, and disaster recovery
- Act as the final escalation point for critical production incidents involving AWS infrastructure and complex scheduling issues
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level administrators and engineers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or platform engineering roles
- Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including leadership of complex enterprise initiatives
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- All candidates must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the last five years
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Bash
- Experience with automation and configuration tools such as Ansible or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience designing enterprise batch scheduling solutions
- Proven ability to balance modernization efforts with operational stability in regulated environments
