What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the technical direction of a cross-functional team delivering user-facing digital services
- Implement new features and technical improvements across the frontend and backend
- Provide architectural guidance and set engineering standards for the team
- Collaborate with product management to clarify requirements and manage technical debt
- Mentor engineers and support the team in delivering reliable, maintainable features
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong expertise in React and Ruby on Rails
- Experience leading technical decision-making and guiding architecture in modern web applications
- Strong understanding of API design, frontend-backend integration patterns, and performance considerations
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing frameworks, and secure coding practices
- Ability to operate in Agile development environments
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Strong communication skills and comfort partnering closely with product and design
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack and manage tradeoffs in a delivery-focused environment
