What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key flooring contractors to drive product preference
- Conduct on-site training and demonstrations for distributors and contractors highlighting product features and benefits
- Collaborate with the Texas sales team to align strategies and achieve sales goals
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategies
- Troubleshoot on-site job issues for contractors to ensure effective product application
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a technical sales role within the flooring industry
- Strong understanding of flooring marketplace and industry applications
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely manage power tools and conduct product training
- Proven problem-solving skills and effective selling abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Salesforce.com as part of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring customer service or sales teams
- Knowledge of various flooring products and applications
- Previous experience conducting product demonstrations at trade shows
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HES) compliance and practices
