The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist - Junior - ECM Solutions Designer for a 12-month contract engagement for the Engineering Application Services Department.
**Selected candidate must be comfortable using their own equipment to remote into a virtual workspace. A laptop will not be provided.**
**No computer programming/coding will be performed in this position.**
**Candidate must currently live in North Carolina. REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS Skills Required/
Desired Experience Experience as a Business Analyst Required 8 Years Extensive experience as a SharePoint Designer or SharePoint Site Owner Required 8 Years Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps tool suite Required 8 Years SharePoint experience designing, validating, and supporting web and workflow solutions, including custom lists, libraries, and content types Required 8 Years Strong background in comprehensive QA testing, including system-level, workflow, scenario-based, and edge-case validation Required 8 Years Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities Required 8 Years Proven experience evaluating business processes and performing business process re-engineering Required 8 Years Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight Required 8 Years Positive interpersonal skills Required 8 Years Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and business concepts Required 8 Years dvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Required 8 Years Strong organizational and presentation skills Required 8 Years Extensive experience creating user-focused documentation (guides, technical references, and knowledge articles) aligned with WCAG standards Required 8 Years Working knowledge of NCDOT's Preconstruction business process Desired 3 Years Understanding of NCDOT's Transportation Life Cycle business process Desired 3 Years Experience with Balsamiq Wireframes Desired 3 Years Experience with Power BI and Power Applications Desired 3 Years Experience working in ServiceNow Desired 3 Years Experience working with Microsoft Copilot agents Desired 3 YearsAbout the company
