      Position Purpose: Creates, edits, and maintains high quality technical documents for use by internal and external users (these may include user manuals, processes and procedures, technical requirements and design, or other materials as needed related to Centene's products, applications, and/or services). Develops and follows documentation standards and formats in collaboration with team members and management. Designs, edits, and upkeeps knowledge management repositories.

      Obtains a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple and engaging content for internal and external users

      Writes user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights derived during the analysis phase, into language that sets our users/learners up for success

      Develops and maintains detailed repositories of appropriate reference materials

      Evaluates current content and develops approaches for improvement

      Develops content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation

      Plans, develops, organizes, writes, and edits internal operational procedures and manuals

      Researches, develops and documents technical design specifications and requirements documents to support new products

      Edits existing content to conform to relevant standards and maximize clarity

      Maintains a comprehensive library of technical terminology, standards, and documentation to unify communications

      Plans future content in collaboration with management to maintain consistency and high-quality for future documentation

      Serves as writing consultant to other business segments as needed
      Performs other duties as assigned

      Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science). Requires 2 – 4 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Technical Skills: Experience with Other: technical, functional, and user facing writing background required Experience with Other: creating documents for complex software applications and have a strong attention to detail required Experience with Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint; Microsoft Word required Soft Skills: Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Intermediate - Ability to work independently
