      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide technical guidance to accounting specialists and project specialists in financial and payroll systems
      - Design, develop, and implement financial/payroll systems reporting tools to meet customer specifications
      - Oversee and perform a variety of specialized accounting and payroll tasks, including ledger reconciliation and data source organization
      - Plan and participate in the implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of financial and payroll systems
      - Conduct research and analysis for application data integration and project guidelines

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, computer science, or a related field
      - Four (4) years of experience in a financial and specialized accounting field
      - Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance practices in a municipal environment
      - Proficiency in desktop computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases
      - Ability to effectively plan and execute complex projects while meeting deadlines

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with Oracle financial systems
      - Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
      - Background in research and application of federal, state, and local laws related to payroll and accounting
      - Familiarity with workflow planning and monitoring of goals
      - Ability to create clear, concise training materials and reports
