      Description

      We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager in the Michigan/Indiana area who wants to make an impact on the future of a successful, growing insurance company!

      What You'll Do
      • Agency management of assigned territory (recruiting, training, and supervising agents or sales representatives) including agency relationship and portfolio management, field underwriting, and collaboration with commercial, personal, and renewal underwriters.
      • Develop, manage, and execute the territory marketing plan.
      • Travel to assigned agents and/or as needed.
      • Business planning and budgeting.
      • Meeting growth, profit, new business and loss objectives.
      • Knowledge of commercial underwriting guides is necessary to provide technical support, assuring that Company policies and standards are being adhered to.
      • Meeting producer and policyholder service standards.
      • Assist in the training and development of new personnel and identifying additional developmental needs of existing personnel.


      What We Are Looking For

      The territory sales manager is a remote position with the ideal candidate residing in or near Michigan or Indiana. Ideal candidates will also have the following qualifications:
      • 3+ years of P&C sales experience OR 3+ years commercial lines underwriting experience, preferred.
      • Must be able to travel 60-70% of the workweek, with some overnight stays possible.
      • Valid driver's license.
      • Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
      • Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
