- Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within OEM, engine distribution, rental equipment, industrial, fluid power, and municipal markets.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships while expanding Cattron's market share.
- Prospect new customers through networking, referrals, trade shows, industry associations, and strategic account development.
- Conduct customer visits to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate Cattron products and solutions.
- Provide technical product presentations, demonstrations, and application support to customers.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Customer Service, and Operations to develop customized solutions.
- Manage all sales opportunities, customer activities, and forecasts through HubSpot CRM.
- Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, quotations, sales activities, and account plans.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs.
- Coordinate activities with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
- Represent Cattron at industry trade shows, customer events, and sales meetings.
- Provide timely sales forecasts, market intelligence, and business updates.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Proven track record of success in outside technical sales.
- Minimum five years of industrial or technical sales experience.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Experience in diesel engines, mobile equipment, industrial automation, fluid power, hydraulics, OEM manufacturing, construction, agriculture, or municipal equipment preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Self-motivated with a strong hunter mentality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
- Ability to travel approximately 50-60%, including overnight travel.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum five years of successful outside sales experience in industrial, technical, engine, mobile equipment, or related markets.
- Experience selling technical products to OEMs, distributors, or industrial end users strongly preferred.
- Experience with engine controls, industrial controls, wireless controls, or CANbus systems is a plus.
- Achieving annual sales and profitability objectives.
- Grow new customer accounts and expand existing business.
- Increase market share within the assigned territory.
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and forecasts.
- Develop long-term customer relationships.
- Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Summary:The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth throughout the Midwest territory by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships within the engine, mobile equipment, industrial, OEM, fluid power, and municipal markets. This individual serves as a trusted technical sales consultant, working closely with customers to understand their application requirements and deliver innovative Cattron control solutions.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated hunter with a strong technical aptitude, experience selling into
engine or mobile equipment markets, and a proven ability to grow territory revenue.
Preferred residence: Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Minneapolis, MN; or Las Vegas, NV.
