What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide one-on-one Thoughtful Engagement sessions in client homes or facilities
- Create and deliver activities tailored to each client's cognitive level, interests, and goals
- Utilize innovative tools, including Meta Quest VR experiences, to support cognitive stimulation
- Develop activity plans informed by client life history, personality, and preferences
- Document each visit with clarity and insight to support the client's overall care plan
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years working directly with seniors or individuals with disabilities, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs. when needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairment
- Training or background in art therapy, music therapy, recreational therapy, cognitive stimulation therapy, social work, or psychology
- Experience designing or delivering structured activities for older adults
- Comfort with technology, including tablets, cognitive engagement apps, and VR systems (Meta Quest)
