What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Trace ownership of properties to ensure clean title
- Review and analyze title abstracts to determine insurability
- Compile details from various sources to clear a property's title for sale
- Identify and resolve potential issues that could delay closing
- Provide information and support to agents and sellers to address property issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Title Producer's license (where applicable per state)
- Comprehensive knowledge of state-specific laws and regulations related to title insurance
- Understanding of closing disclosure or HUD 1 statement
- 1-5 years of experience in title abstracting, searching, examining, or engineering
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
