What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Edit and classify topobathymetric LiDAR point clouds, including identification of water surface, water column, bathymetric bottom, and submerged features
- Process, review, and validate point cloud data to support bathymetric production workflows
- Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and project specifications
- Manage assigned tasks and troubleshoot data and workflow issues while documenting procedures and results
- Participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement of production processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Hydrography, or a related field
- 2+ years of LiDAR editing experience, particularly with topographic and/or topobathymetric LiDAR
- Proficiency with TerraSolid software (TerraScan, TerraModeler, TerraBatch)
- Familiarity with LiDAR standards and guidelines (e.g., ASPRS, USGS, NOAA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with LAStools and Python
- Experience supporting automation of LiDAR processing and QC workflows
