What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the Town Clerk, overseeing the administration of town records and compliance with legal requirements
- Supervise the Deputy Town Clerk and manage town record-keeping and public document certification
- Ensure timely responses to Colorado Open Records Act requests and facilitate Town Council meetings
- Administer various licensing programs, including Liquor, Business, and Short Term Rental Licenses
- Conduct and oversee Town Elections as the Designated Election Official
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, or related field; or municipal clerk's certification with at least five years of relevant experience
- Certification by the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association (CMC) required or the ability to obtain within four years
- Active Notary Public commission from Colorado required or the ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment
- Knowledge of municipal ordinances, state statutes, and records management practices
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with government officials and the public
