- Monitor global and regional agricultural commodity markets to identify trading opportunities.
- Develop and execute trading strategies to optimize procurement and sales.
- Analyze supply and demand trends, weather patterns, and geopolitical factors affecting commodity prices.
- Assist in implementation of risk management tools to manage price volatility and contract performance.
- Assess and mitigate counterparty risks, credit exposures, and logistics disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the negotiation of contracts with suppliers, farmers, cooperatives, and buyers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
- Oversee contracts, pricing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of commodities.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of commodities.
- Oversee warehousing, inventory management, and quality control processes.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including import/export documentation.
- Track and report trading performance, profitability, and key market developments.
- Provide regular market insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Manage P&L and budget for the trading division.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, analysts, and support staff in trading strategies and market insights.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in agricultural commodities trading.
- Knowledge of futures markets (CBOT, ICE, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and data analytics tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong networking skills and ability to build long-term partnerships.
- Experience in international trade and supply chain management.
- Background in nuts, dried fruits, sugar, or other soft commodities trading.
- Familiarity with sustainability and traceability initiatives in agriculture.
- Multilingual abilities (Spanish, Portuguese).

Job Summary:
The Trading Manager for Agricultural Commodities/Ingredients is responsible for overseeing the procurement, trading, risk management, and sales of agricultural products such as nuts, dried fruits, sugar, fruit juice concentrates, oats, pulses/seeds, and other soft commodities both internationally and imports into USA. This role
involves market analysis, supplier/ customer relationship / trading team management, and trading strategy development to maximize profitability.
