What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement training programs on new systems and software for various stakeholders
- Research and apply adult learning methods and training technologies
- Coordinate training activities within the Oregon Department of Human Services
- Create and evaluate training materials and sessions to ensure compliance with standards
- Conduct in-person training sessions across the state as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Five years of experience in designing, planning, and implementing adult education courses or organizational development strategies
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute for three years of experience
- Strong experience in customer service and using independent judgment in decision-making
- Proven ability to analyze training data and adjust training based on feedback
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Lived or work experience with community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Experience in training individuals on unfamiliar software to enhance their confidence and skills
