  We're now looking for a Transport Manager to take the helm of our transport operations!

  In this pivotal role, you will lead our dynamic team to achieve excellence and drive success throughout our transport network. Join us and be a key player in shaping the future of logistics!

  This role is essential to improving the service delivered and financial performance of 2 contracts through the analysis of key metrics and performance measures. To manage multiple teams across contracts to maximise revenue & profits.

  ✅WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers
  • Support day to day operations to meet customer KPIs and service level expectations
  • Support site GM & Ops managers with any required tasks and provide cover for them when needed
  • Provide European and Worldwide freight forwarding experience/expertise to DSC shipping team and be first contact for any transport tenders to retain business or gain new business.
  • SAP / ERP updates and implementation with DHL and across Customer Plants
  • To support contract projects in capturing and providing movement and cost saving data
  • Increase the profitability of the Site Operations

  ✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Strong background in Freight or Global Forwarding experience - Essential
  • Knowledge of volumetric weight calculations for road & air movements
  • International Transport / Freight Forwarding Experience
  • SAP Experience
  • Ability to provide data in clear and concise manor within agreed timescales.
  • Management experience - leading a team
  • European Transport Operations
  • Understanding of UK export market costs.
