What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the use of dedicated medical transportation vehicles with contracted vendors
- Coordinate hospital-to-hospital procedural rides and other transportation needs
- Troubleshoot ride delays and issues while documenting rides within patient EMRs
- Act as a liaison between staff and external transportation vendors and brokerages
- Track transportation data and maintain resource utilization within the Transportation Center
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
- An Associate’s degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, procedures, and patient discharge processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in discharge planning and care coordination
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with working in a high-volume environment
