      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as the statewide specialist for drainage and utilities software programs
      - Develop and coordinate training programs for staff and engineering consultants
      - Manage components and templates for custom drainage and utilities design libraries
      - Ensure compliance with engineering standards and practices
      - Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering
      - Registered professional engineering license as required by the State of Michigan
      - Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer
      - At least two years of experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12
      - Experience in hydraulic engineering and stormwater drainage system design preferred

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor of science degree in civil engineering
      - Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer software
      - Proven track record of training and mentoring others in engineering practices
      - Familiarity with construction plan preparation for DOT roadway projects
      - Prior experience working with state government agencies
