What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and enhance existing transportation processes and customer delivery methods
- Manage daily courier operations and resolve any related issues
- Collaborate with carrier partners and internal departments to address claims and delivery concerns
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with delivery policies
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience with responding to transportation-related RFPs and RFQs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents and reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in logistics or transportation, particularly in the courier industry
- Strong negotiating skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences
- Familiarity with automated freight pay and audit processes
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
