What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide exceptional customer service to taxpayers through verbal and written communication
- Review and process tax forms and correspondence efficiently
- Handle extensive phone and computer work in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with team members to resolve customer inquiries and issues
- Maintain a safe and appropriate workspace for remote work
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent educational level
- One to three years of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems, depending on the level of the position
- Ability to perform duties in a remote work environment with secure internet access
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint-based background check due to access to Federal Tax Information
- Availability for occasional onsite work and mandatory monthly in-person meetings in Dimondale, Michigan
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a customer service environment with a focus on attention to detail
- Familiarity with call/contact center operations, handling multiple calls per hour
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Previous experience in a metrics-based performance environment
- Strong ability to adapt and shift focus between various tasks efficiently
