As an U11 Lead Coach you will lead the coaching of the U11 age group and to enable these individuals to maximize their potential. Although assigned to a particular age group (Decided by the Academy director and Head of Coaching) you are also required to work closely together with Foundation phase coaches U8-U12 to maximise player pathway.

Your Impact

1. To lead an age group; coach to motivate and develop the individual players to enable them to win games whilst playing beautiful football.
2. To understand and produce key programs to enable individual players to successfully transition from the age group to age group in line with the Club’s footballing philosophy.
3. To implement individual learning plans for your designated age group squad, whilst having an age specific understanding of Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological development.
4. Ability to identify individual skills and apply appropriate coaching, and tactical development tailored to the individual player.
5. To ensure the cohesion, conflict resolution and management of the individual players to ensure high behavioural standards and a positive team ethic are maintained by the players at all times.
6. To work cooperatively with all academy staff and to maintain relationships with the player’s parents or their guardians.
7. To liaise with the scouting and recruitment department for the selection of players.
8. To work closely together with Youth Development Phase coaching staff
9. To work in line with the strategy of EPPP as agreed by the Club.

What we are looking for

Essential

• Professional qualification at UEFA B/A Licence level
• Knowledge and understanding of technical, tactical and physical development
• Knowledge and understanding of individual development

• FA Youth Award and FA Advanced Youth Award Able to identify, develop and support football talent.
• An understanding and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to solve tactical problems within a competitive and fast-moving environment.
• A clear sense of purpose to drive action and inspire innovation amongst staff.
• Set and maintain high standard of work performance and deliver quality consistently and efficiently.
• Effective planning to meet fixed deadlines and problem-solving skills using initiative and sensitivity.
• Possessing communication skills that are clear, engaging and responsive to the target audience.
• Develop networks, create and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Have facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and resolve tensions, disputes and conflicts.

• Demonstrable, strong knowledge of football in terms of tactics, fitness and player development.EFAiF qualification
• Management of an U11 – U14 Lead Coach role (minimum level)
• Previous experience working within the foundation and youth development phase
• Previous experience working in an academy structure Category I
