What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Search for and compile flood risk data across the city of Baltimore
- Use GIS tools to map out risk factors related to flooding
- Integrate flood modeling results into research findings
- Collaborate with a research team focused on climate science and environmental studies
- Assist in the development of a flood risk map highlighting vulnerable areas
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Interest or experience in climate science, environmental studies, data science, or related fields
- Prior experience with QGIS or ArcGIS for importing and visualizing spatial datasets
- Basic coding skills and readiness to learn data cleaning techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
- Availability for approximately 4 hours per week over 8 weeks

- Previous experience in risk analysis or environmental research
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
